Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose cover XXL magazine
The couple strike a pose for the October/November cover of XXL magazine in which Wiz opens up about how he won his lady over and Amber dishes on giving birth and her beau.
Wiz on how he got with Amber: “I love my baby. She’s gorgeous and it makes me look even cooler when I show how much I love her to other people… When I met Amber, she loved me for who I was. I had some money, but it was like to pay my bills and literally set myself up for a future. But I was wearing the same camo shorts and high-tops and Chucks. But she liked my swag and she liked me for who I was and I wasn’t afraid of that… She didn’t wanna date any entertainers or anybody in the business. She didn’t know who she wanted to be with, but she knew who she didn’t wanna be with.”
Wiz on working on his new album while Amber is at home with him: “I just gotta do it. The most important thing is knowing that she is there and I have to tend to my babies. This is my first child ever in life. I gotta go hard at everything. As hard as I go in the studio, I gotta go just as hard taking care of my baby and making sure she’s alright, and I’m spending time with her and she doesn’t feel neglected.”
Amber on how she plans to give birth: “I’m so ready. I’m going all-natural. I’ve decided that I’m going to have an all-natural water birth. No medicine. I want those bragging rights! The next time Wiz has a stomachache or anything, I’ll say, ‘I popped out a baby all-natural.’”
Amber on the type of person Wiz is: “[H]e’s just a genuine sweet guy. And that’s what made me fall in love with him. And I just said, “You know what, I don’t care if he’s a rapper.” I don’t care if people say, “Oh, you’re a gold-digger.” I don’t care if people say, “Oh, you went from one rapper to another,” or whatever. I love him. I don’t look at him as a rapper. I look at him as Cameron Thomaz, not even Wiz Khalifa. I just fell so deeply in love with him, I didn’t care what anyone says.”
Patience Jonathan battling Parkinson's disease? - Sahara Reporters
Found this report on Saharareporters.com
The bombshell revelation about the First Lady’s medical woes was first made by a source familiar with Mrs. Jonathan’s previous secret treatments in Spain and Italy. The source disclosed that Mrs. Jonathan had battled Parkinson’s for some years now. In addition, doctors had advised her to “do something urgent about her morbid body mass index (BMI),” said the source. She added that Mrs. Jonathan had indeed considered undergoing the kind of tummy tuck procedure that former Governor Diepreye Alamieyeseigha once had.
Two other sources close to the Jonathans confirmed that the First Lady has been dogged by Parkinson’s. One said the disease was largely responsible for her clumsiness, drawling speech and slow movement at public events. He added that Mrs. Jonathan has been suffering serious trembling in the left hand. “That’s why she always uses her right to hold the microphone when speaking at public events,” the source revealed. Mrs. Jonathan also reportedly is affected by stiffness of the limbs and trunk which affects her movement.
A news staffer at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) told SaharaReporters that Mrs. Jonathan’s aides warned reporters covering her never to film her beyond her waist. “Her senior personal assistant told the crew covering her long ago: ‘Don’t ever film Madam’s waist. Show her face only.’ That’s been the code at NTA.”
Two of our sources stated that Mrs. Jonathan had made efforts to slow the disease that had started to ravage her. “She has been visiting a health farm in Italy on a regular basis since 2010,” one source revealed. “To alleviate her pain, she has been taking her medication religiously.”
A friend of Mrs. Jonathan’s said that the First Lady’s health maladies include anxiety, occasional memory loss and disorientation. In addition, her blood pressure often rises to dangerous levels, forcing her to take a cocktail of anti-hypertensive drugs.
Also, our sources said that some officials attached to the First Lady’s office described her as constantly depressed, prone to snapping at people at the slightest provocation. “The First Lady can just get angry at the slightest provocation and rain abuses at anybody in sight,” he said.
As happened during the health crisis of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, the Nigerian Presidency’s reaction to Mrs. Jonathan’s health condition is to be mum. When SaharaReporters contacted a senior aide of President Jonathan on the matter of the First Lady’s illness, he sharply said, “I’m not saying anything. And please don’t mention that you spoke to me.” SaharaReporters learnt that officials of the Presidency are under a virtual oath of secrecy on the issue of Mrs. Jonathan’s health crisis.

“Poorest President” in the World – Uruguayan President José Mujica
The President of Uruguay, José Mujica is getting world wide recognition and respect for donating 90 percent of his earnings to charitable causes.
He has earned what most people would call an enviable reputation as the “poorest,” or the “most generous,” president in the world. His nickname, “el presidente mas pobre” translates to “poorest president”.
The President said in a recent interview that the only big item he owns is his Volkswagen Beetle car, valued at $1,945 dollars (about N308,283) . He earns a salary of $12,500 a month (N1,981,250), but only keeps $1,250(N198,125) for himself, donating the rest to charity.
He lives in a farmhouse which is under his wife’s name, LucÃa Topolansky, a Senator, who also donates part of her salary.
The 77 year-old who has been Uruguay’s president since March 1, 2010 told El Mundo, “I do fine with that amount; I have to do fine because there are many Uruguayans who live with much less.”
It was also reported that under his stewardship, Uruguay has become known for low levels of corruption. The South American country ranks as the second least corrupt country in Latin America in Transparency International’s global corruption index.
Yahoo News reported that the President has no bank accounts, no debts, and he enjoys the companionship of his dog, Manuela. When his term is over, the President hopes to rest even more peacefully in his farmhouse, along with his wife and his inseparable dog.
There is something about leading by example. When you do, it becomes easier for other people to follow.

Cynthia's murder: Court grants two suspects bail, remands driver
A Yaba Chief Magistrate’s Court yesterday granted bail to two suspects arrested in connection with the alleged murder of Cynthia Osokogu. But the driver who was accused of driving the prime suspect to Cosmilla Hotel, FESTAC, was remanded in prison custody.
The suspects granted bail – Nonso Ezike (22), who is the younger brother to Olisaeloka, one of the alleged killers, and Ezeaka Chinonso (27) – were arrested by policemen at Area E for receiving and selling Cynthia’s BlackBerry phone.
Nonso’s lawyer, Mr. J. C Ngobili, told the court that the accused was a student of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, and prayed the court to grant him bail in liberal terms.
The Magistrate, Mr. P.A. Adekomaya, admitted that although the offences were bailable, he pointed out that the bail condition ought not to be too liberal in view of the circumstances surrounding Cynthia’s murder.
He granted Nonso and Ezeaka bail in the sum of N500,000 each with two sureties in like sum, adding that the sureties must not be teachers or local government employees. He added that the sureties could be bank tellers.
The third accused person, Gideon Okechukwu, a driver, was however charged with eight counts of murder, rape, robbery, conspiracy, administering a harmful substance to the deceased among others.
Okechukwu had told PUNCH Metro before he was arraigned that he only drove the alleged killers from the area where the hotel was situated, adding that he had no role in Cynthia’s murder.
Okechukwu’s lawyer, Bello, prayed the court to also grant the accused bail, adding that he had been held at the State Criminal Investigation Department.
The magistrate, who quickly interjected, explained that it wasn’t within the jurisdiction of the court to grant bail for such offences.
Okechukwu was remanded in Ikoyi Prison. The matter was adjourned till October 3, 2012.

Staten Island Borough President Denounces Singer For Marijuana Smoking and calls her a slut
Staten Island Borough President James Molinaro made derogatory remarks towards Lady Gaga Monday, denouncing the singer as a "slut."
The Staten Island Advance reports Molinaro was speaking at an anti-drug initiative when he suggested Lady Gaga sets a negative example for young people:
Stop glorifying the drug use. There's Gaga. Here's this... this... I would call her a slut. This slut is influencing many, many children ... and it's right to do. It's fine, it's part of it."
He added his two young nieces love the singer and said, "To me, she's not an actress, she's a slut ... in the pure meaning of the word."
Molinaro was pointing to a photo of Gaga at a performance in Amsterdam, when the singer lit a joint on stage and praised marijuana as "wondrous." She also credited marijuana for helping her spiritually, and helping her cut down on drinking.
Molinaro lost a son to a drug overdose in 2006.
This isn't Molinaro's first display of offensive words. In 2011, the politician was being interviewed about how Staten Island was dealing with the snowstorm, when he unknowingly dropped some angry, foul language into the mic.
Statistics have shown that 60 Million Nigerians Spend N1.6trillion on Generators Annually
Some interesting statistics on the usage of power generating sets in Nigeria has been revealed by the Director-General of Centre for Management Development, Dr Kabir Usman.
According to him, about 60 million Nigerians spend N1.6 trillion on generators annually.
He also said that Nigeria had the highest number of standby generators, which had become permanent, making the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) the standby.
“Currently, there are about 60 million generators in Nigeria at the ratio of one per household of 2.5 people with an annual spending of N1.6 trillion,” Tribune quoted him as saying at the launch of the National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN) graduate skills development programme in Abuja, on Monday.
Mr. Usman further noted that the presence of too many generators has also been the cause of many deaths in the nation as a result of carbon monoxide emission.
Still on the use of generating sets as alternative sources of electricity, it is no news that irregular power supply has adversely affected businesses in Nigeria. He revealed that Nigeria’s highly inadequate supply of electricity adds 40 percent to the cost of goods produced in the country. According to him, “the situation has compelled many industries to either shut down or relocate to neighbouring countries.”
He also said that the poorest Nigerians paid more than N80/kwh burning candles, kerosene and firewood while manufacturers paid between N45 and N60/kwh on diesel to run their generators.
With so much money being spent on alternative sources of electricity, it comes as no surprise that most Nigerians eagerly await the completion of the ongoing privatization process of the PHCN with the hope that power supply would become more regular.
What do you think about the statistics on generator usage in Nigeria?
