Kim Kardashian's own words could be used against her if Kris Humphries' lawyers have their way.
According to RadarOnline, the NBA player's lawyers are intent on grilling Kim about her lengthy interview with Oprah Winfrey, in which she admitted that on the eve of her wedding, her mother, Kris Jenner, asked her if she wanted to call the whole thing off.
"I didn't have an inkling, but everyone around me did. The night before, my mom said, 'Do you want out?' She said, 'You're not yourself.' But I said mom, no, I got angry, I was thinking, 'How dare you!'" Kim said.
The Kardashians sat down with Winfrey on Sunday, in the first of a two-part interview on "Oprah's Next Chapter," where Kim opened up about everything from losing her virginity to her boyfriend of two years at the age of 14, to the "deep depression" she fell into after she filed for divorce.
Humphries' lawyers were reportedly delighted to learn of this admission, and sources told the website it proves the heart of Humphries' claim that the marriage was fraudulent and that he was duped into marrying Kim. The source revealed that Kris' legal team was intent on grilling Kim about the specifics of the conversation she had the night before her nuptials.
"Kim's explanation of why her mom asked her [if she wanted to call off the wedding] just doesn't make sense. There is a lot more going on to this than the public knows, and Kris wants answers. Kris was left in the dark, and it was very hurtful for him to hear that Kim was bored with him," said the source.
Lawyers for both parties are set to depose Kim and Kris sometime this month, and it's become more than apparent that no one plans to play nice.
According to Gossip Cop, Kim has subpoenaed Kris Humphries’ secret ex-girlfriend/booty call Myla Sinanaj to possibly testify in their divorce proceedings.
Humphries had reportedly been secretly dating Sinanaj for five months, and when their relationship was made public he denied the two were seriously involved, in order to maintain appearances that he was left heartbroken from the divorce.
Kardashian's lawyer is now seeking to find out whether Humphries divulged anything to Sinanaj about his fraud claims while they were together, reports the website.
