Gele and Handbags have been Banned in Enugu Catholic Church

Following the incessant insecurity in the country, a catholic church ST. Theresa Catholic Cathedral, Nsukka, in Enugu State has advised women against wearing big headgears and handbags to Sunday service.

According to The Punch, the Cathedral Administrator, Rev. Fr. Uche Obodoechina, announced this on Sunday, August, 26, 2012, saying that the ban will commence on September 9, this year.

Motorists have also been banned from parking in the church premises and commercial motorcyclists are to be restricted to a designated space within the compound.

The clergyman explained that the move was to enable security men prevent the possibility of a bomb being smuggled into the church.
