The National Executive Council (NEC) of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has suspended the general Strike that crippled academic activities In Nigeria for months over government's refusal to properly fund the university system in particular and the education sector in general.
In our telephone discussion with the leadership of ASSU, they clarified that the directive was for "lectures to resume immediately.
