Nicki Minaj Covers Allure, Talks Big Hair And Even Bigger Future Plans


Nicki Minaj is just as well known for her red carpet costumery as she is for her kaleidoscope collection of wigs.
So it was about time Allure (aka the monthly authority on all things beauty) caught up with Minaj, who covers their April issue, to pick her colorfully-covered brain on what inspires her statement-making hair, makeup and career choices.
In the feature, the "Super Bass" rapper reveals that her love for over-the-top hairstyles started at the tender age of nine. 

"I was doing every- and anything to it—putting in wads of gel and brushing it to the next century, and just thinking I was so cute," MInaj told Allure. "I always thought I had an eye for that stuff."
Well, those big beauty ideas have definitely caught the World's eye.
Speaking of big--Terrence Davidson, MInaj's wig man, spend two days creating the Marie Antoinette-meets-cotton candy masterpiece the 29-year-old superstar rocks on the April cover.
With all Minaj's hair and clothing theatrics we often forget that her day job is rapping not modeling. But as Minaj tells Allure that is all part of her master plan toward mogul-dom, which includes dethroning the King, Jay-Z:
