Nigeria’s Senate Passes Law to Prohibit Gay Marriage

Senator David Mark.
Defying pressure from Western countries against legislation that limits rights of sexual minorities, the upper chamber of Nigeria National Assembly, the Senate, on Tuesday passed a bill to prohibit same sex marriage.
Tagged Same-Sex Prohibition Bill, the law proposed up to 14 years imprisonment each for gay couples who decided to solemnize their union while witnesses to the marriage or anyone who assisted the couples to marry could be sentenced to 10 years behind bars.
The Bill also makes operation or registration of gay clubs or organizations a criminal offence.
Also proscribed by the new Bill is "public show of same-sex amorous relationships directly or indirectly" with 10 years imprisonment stipulated as punishment.
All the lawmakers who spoke during the sitting of the Senate on Tuesday supported the passage of the bill, with one Senator advocating death sentence as punishment for being gay. Yet, another lawmaker suggested 40 years imprisonment as punishment.
Before the vote on whether to pass the bill into law or not was taken, Senator David Mark, the President of the Senate acknowledged the fact that Nigeria will come under fierce international criticism over the legislation.
But he insisted that Nigeria will not bow to any international pressure. "Our values are our values. If there is any country that does not want to give us aid or assistance, just because we hold on very firmly to our values, that country can (keep) their assistance. No country has a right to interfere in the way we make our own laws," said the Nigerian Senate President.
Mark's jab is no doubt targeted at European Union countries, especially, the United Kingdom which recently threatened to cut aid to African countries that enact laws against gay or lesbian practices.
South Africa is the only African country that has enacted law allowing for same sex marriage.
But the new bill must be passed by the lower chamber, the House of Representatives and signed by President Goodluck Jonathan before it can become law.
It will be recalled that during the public hearing on the Bill sponsored by Senator Domingo Obende, last month, one Dr Obiowu who claimed to be a lesbian while speaking on behalf of Nigerians in Diaspora against anti-sex laws, had described the move to ban same sex marriage as a gross violation of their fundamental human right.
But her argument was met with jeers, boos and unrestrained laughter from some of the Senators present while other simply shakes their heads in pity of the self confessed lesbian. "My faith as Christian abhors it. It is incomprehensible to contemplate on same sex marriage. I cannot understand it. I cannot be a party to it. There are enough men and women to marry each other. The whole idea is the importation of foreign culture but this one would be a freedom too many. We cannot allow our tradition and value system eroded," Mark had said during the public hearing.
Some Nigerians however feel the National Assembly is neglecting tackling cogent problems confronting the country with focus on the seemingly unimportant and limited issue of homosexualism.
this is the judgment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what exactly is inthis lebianism or gayism? please lets hear your opinion on this......
as for me, its good radiance to bad rubbish!!!!!

Pregnant Beyonce's December Due Date Revealed

Beyonce due in december
Merry Christmas to Beyonce and Jay-Z! Pregnant Beyonce has revealed that she and her hip-hop hubby are expecting to give birth to their first child in December 2011, not February 2012 as previously reported.
Queen B dramatically unveiled her baby bump at the MTV VMAs back in August, Remember ryte!!!! when reports suggested she was only three months pregnant. But, in newly-released behind-the-scenes footage from her 'Countdown' music video shoot, Queen B tells fans that she is actually much further along in her high-profile pregnancy.

In the short clip, which filmed on the set of the video back in September, Beyonce holds up a copy of the New York Daily News. The paper featured a photo of the pregnant star on the cover with the headline, 'Oh baby!' As rumors went viral, the cover story suggested that Bey may have been faking her baby bump, opting to wear a prosthetic belly to simulate pregnancy, or at least dramatize it for the cameras.

Mocking the caption, Bey rubs her belly and says, "Hello, it's Sept. 23. Oh baby! Oh baby! Oh baby! Oh baby! This was on the cover of the Daily News. Right now I'm actually shooting the video for 'Countdown' and I'm six months pregnant, pretending that my stomach is flat in body suits. But thank god you can't really tell from the front, but when I turn to the side ... oh baby! Oh baby!"

i bet u understand where am comin from??? Beyonce claimed she was six months along with her pregnancy on Sept. 23, which means future Jayonce was conceived back in March and is expected to arrive in time for Christmas!
am Happy for our Queen B...............whaty you you think?

Former Michael Jackson Doctor Conrad Murray learns his Fate Today!!!!

Former Michael Jackson doctor Conrad Murray will learnt his fate Tuesday morning (November 29) in a Los Angeles courtroom. The cardiologist, who was found guilty of one felony count of involuntary manslaughter November 7, is facing up to four years in state prison in the death of the pop icon.

Though the jury reached a unanimous verdict in the case, due to recent changes in California law aimed at lessening prison overcrowding, experts told MTV News that it's unlikely Murray will spend much, if any, time behind federal bars.
At the time of the verdict, Los Angeles-based criminal defense attorney Mike Cavalluzzi told MTV News it was too early to predict what kind of time Dr. Murray might do, calling the decision one of the toughest ones facing Judge Michael Pastor in the wake of the six-week trial.
"[Pastor] will have to seriously consider all of the mitigating factors which would lean toward Dr. Murray not doing any jail time and all of the aggravating factors that would lead toward him going to state prison," said Cavalluzzi, who was not involved in the case but has represented a number of clients facing felony charges. "It seems to me, at first blush, that any jail time wouldn't be appropriate in this case given the fact that Dr. Murray has no criminal record and there truly was no malice, no intent to actually harm Michael Jackson at all. What he was really doing was succumbing to the wishes of a patient, and unfortunately, that patient was not a person whose wishes should have been succumbed to."
After Murray was found guilty and swiftly sent to jail with no bail, his attorneys said they were planning to appeal the verdict. They will wait until after sentencing to do so, but either way, Murray will face the loss of his medical license in California. One of Murray's defense attorneys, Nareg Gourjian, said at the time that the doctor's team plans to ask for probation but expects his client to spend just "a little bit" of time in county jail.

Biafra is dead! Rot in Hell Ojukwu – Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo

JUST IMAGINE THAT PEOPLE!!!!!!

Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo
Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo
As Nigerians home and abroad mourn the death of Nigerian hero Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, there is clearly one person who isnt , a US Pharmacist Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo.
shortly after Ojukwu's death was made public, Omololu-Olunloyo, a powerful Nigerian woman in Canada, took to her facebook wall and wrote: "Biafra is dead! Rot in Hell Ojukwu for killing those children."
Immediately after the post, her  facebook friends who ver over 5,000 went on acidic attack calling her all sorts of name. One called her "arrogant and disgusting".
Omololu-Olunloyo, who says she'll be running as a female Presidential candidate in Nigeria's 2015 elections, is the daughter of the former Governor of Old Oyo state Chief Dr Omololu Olunloyo.
When world famous music legend Carol Jiani called Omololu-Olunloyo to order and asked her to immediately remove the offensive post about Ojukwu and Igbo people in general, Omololu-Olunloyo quickly replied calling Jiani a "transvestite looking wannabe singer."
Omololu-Olunloyo, who is also known as the Editor and creator of Canada's leading music blog HipHossip.com, went on to blog a story about Carol revealing that sources say she too has been sleeping with the Ikemba.
One wonders how a woman who wants to rule Nigeria would start off her campaign by offending an important section of the country.
what do y'all think about this sort of woman?? what can we say is actually behind her outburst???

its all abt Entertainment ooo!!!!!!

SHANKS REMIX OF HIS HIT SINGLE "SALUTE" FEATURING WIZKID
Interesting, have you listened to 'Salute Remix'
When patois-singing act Shank released his 'Salute' single back in March 2011, we were all excited.
I guess you were as excited as i was when  Shank released his single back then in March.hmmmmm!!!!!!!!!
it was announced that the singer's label Starville had also struck a deal with power record label Storm Records to handle his work, things really looked bright for the act.
It's months later and after Shank released the Bobby Boulders-directed video to 'Salute' (which has gathered over 30,000 YouTube views), Mr 'German Sure' has decided to release the remix to the club hit with no other than the lastest...kid in the block – Wizkid.
well, i think the song is juss there, but i could kill for the original song than this,  While Shank tries to switch from singing to his ragga delivery, Wizzy Wizzy blates on the Sarz produced beat. This clearly makes the original song a far better version and leaves us asking why a remix was ventured into in the first place.
but you juss listen to it....it it would be that its stephani that said it........i think its not so bad afterall

N45m Rolls Royce Phantom Not Duncan Mighty’s!

N45m Rolls Royce Phantom Not Duncan Mighty's!

November 29,2011
By Stephanie Oduenyi

Ducan Mighty says he did NOT buy the car...
Contrary to the widely broadcast reports that popular singer and one and only self acclaimed "port harcourt first son Duncan Okechukwu Mighty recently bought a Rolls Royce Phantom, running into about N45M (forty five million Naira), the singer has said  that he did NOT buy the said luxurious vehicle.
the car was acually said to be a prop for the shoot of a musical video.!!!!remeber his sponsor? Chris Aire!!!! yea
Several blogs had quoted unnamed sources, earlier this month, announcing Mighty had bought a Rolls Royce – with pictures of him posing beside the car, with customised number plate 'PH 1st Son'. A spokesperson later confirmed to our reporters that he had indeed bought the car.
But, perhaps following the attention the reports generated, and possible complaints from the owner of the car, Mighty, we're told, was forced to issue incoherent disclaimers, saying he never bought the Rolls Royce.
No official statements were issued,
this was actually his phone conversation with NET
. 'I can answer any question you have on any other matter, but will not comment on this particular issue. What I can tell you is that we will address this matter in a press conference around the first week of December where we will also be talking about other things we have lined up', the publicist, named Bless, told NET
A source who is close to and works with the singer however revealed under the assurance of anonymity, that the car was definitely not bought by the singer but was only given to him 'to flaunt with' in his upcoming video for the smash hit song, 'Port Harcourt Son', which had some scenes shot in Abuja.

Fashion Tips for Plus Size Women

Things To Avoid When Buying An Outfit
Being fashionable is very important for most women. However, there are some women, who are the usual victim of the fashion industry. Why is that the case? Well, it is common for us to see clothing and other accessories, which are made especially for slim and trim women.
It is true that the fashion industry is now recognizing the importance of plus size women in the industry. However, it is still very rare for us to see a whole collection that is made specifically for larger women. As a result, shopping for plus size women can be confusing. In essence, larger women have to use care in what they choose, and they need to know about the things that should be avoided. The truth is, there are certain fashions and designs that can tend to accentuate our worst features. So, here are some fashion tips for plus size women. Learn about the things you should avoid when purchasing your outfit.
1 – Avoid bright colored dresses. While it is true that a bright color dress such as yellow, red and violet can attract attention, these colors can also highlight the problem areas in your body. So, it just brought you in the spotlight in a negative kind of way. Instead, buy dresses in earthy tones and subdued colors.
2 – Avoid horizontal pattern in designs.ines and patterns that go across the body can make you appear bigger and wider. It is best to choose a pattern that will make you look smaller, such as vertical lines pattern.
3 - Avoid buying smaller dresses. Some women buy dresses that are one size smaller as they want to show off their features. Well, for a few slim and fit women, this technique may work to their advantage. But for most women, this will just highlight any problem areas in the body. So, it is best to buy clothes that are correctly fitted to your shape.
4 – Avoid wearing tapered jeans. This type of jeans, especially the one, which is tapered at the ankles, can make your ankles look fat. So, a better choice is to wear regular jeans or pants that are wide legged.
5 - Avoid large patterns. Large patterns can make an illusion that you are heavier and bigger. So, it is best to wear clothes with smaller patterns as it can trick the eyes to your advantage.
6 - Avoid strap and flat shoes. Flat shoes can make you look shorter and therefore – wider. Ankle straps can make your legs appear shorter. So, better get rid of them and try to wear shoes with pointed and elevated heels to make you look taller and slimmer.
