The ‘Monster’ of Tasmania is still Alive because He Was Sold to an Aquarium (see photos)

The ‘monster’ of Tasmania remains alive because it was sent to Britain to show it at an aquarium .
It was destined to be cooked but is large enough to fit on one.
Claude, the giant crab of Tasmania, was saved from death when the fisherman who caught it sold it to a British aquarium for £ 3,000.
After traveling 29 hours by plane from Australia, where the  giant crab meat is delicious, and two weeks in quarantine, Claude is ready to meet its public.
It is the largest crab exhibited in the UK weighting 15 pounds, (6, 800 pounds) and reached 160 for crab cakes .
Claude is 100 times larger than a standard UK crab. However, he is very young and will grow to twice its weight.
Claude was captured along with two giant crabs on the coast of Tasmania last month, and were sold to a group of  Seal Life .
