| The Ganglani brothers |
Three Indian brothers, Chandru Ganglani, Bharat Ganglani and Trishul Ganglani who are directors of a plastic company in Lagos, Sacvin Nigeria Limited, were this morning sentenced to one month imprisonment without an option of fine by a Federal High Court in Lagos, for disobeying the order of the court.
Cause of wahala: Another plastic company, VIK company for selling plastic products identical in design to theirs and making them (VIK) lose money.
A court in Lagos made an interim order restraining Sacvin from manufacturing and selling the plastic products but the company directors disobeyed court order and continued manufacturing, supplying and selling the products. When they appeared in court today, they were sentenced to one month in prison.
