Nick Gordon took to ABC News to deny that he and his pseudo-sister, Bobbi Kristina are dating, despite photos of the pair engaging in some pretty obvious PDA.
"We're just close -- just going through her mom's passing and grieving together," he told ABC News today.
Though some have said Gordon is merely trying to protect Bobbi, photos obtained by TMZ show Whitney Houston's daughter and the 22-year-old kissing and holding hands.
Star Magazine reported Wednesday that the two may be taking their relationship a step further -- with an engagement.
“Nick proposed to Krissy on March 10, and she said yes,” a family friend told Star. “Krissy said Nick is the only person she trusts in the world. They have a very deep connection.”
But a friend of Bobbi Kristina's disagrees, saying Gordon is taking advantage of her.
“Nick is getting her at her most vulnerable,” the source told the magazine. “If he really loved her, he’d back off the engagement and just be her friend.”
Although Nick and Bobbi aren't biologically related, Whitney Houston unofficially adopted Gordon when he was 12 years old. Gordon lived with the family ever since, reportedly referring to Bobbi as his "sister."
