The award winning movie ‘Tango with Me‘ has secured an international distribution chain deal with a UK company, Talking Drum Entertainment.
Talking Drum Entertainment, which specialises in black films, has set an August release date for the movie. The film will be viewed across major cinemas in the UK in the first phase of the distribution, before proceeding to other European countries.
According to the producer and director of the movie, Mahmood Ali-Balogun, ‘This is a positive development for African films in general, and Nollywood in particular, because a wider audience will experience our films, and returns on film investments will improve greatly for the benefit of all stakeholders in our bid to take the industry to greater heights‘.
The romantic drama is the story of a couple, played by Genevieve Nnaji and Joseph Benjamin, faced with a complex web of moral issues as they face trials and tribulations within their young marriage.
The yet to be released movie bagged five awards at the just concluded Nollywood Movies Awards on Saturday, June 2,2012, namely best actor, best movie, best director, best cinematographer and best sound design.
