The new degree offers 60 KFC managers the chance to study a bespoke BA Hons management course starting in January next year.
The company, who are part of the world’s biggest global restaurant group, say they want to reward their ‘best performers’ and give them a chance to gain a ‘meaningful and respectful qualification’.
The students will embark on a programme of ‘blended learning’, enabling them to continue to earn money as restaurant managers while they study to progress within their chosen field.
‘We pride ourselves on our ability to adapt our skills and services to match the needs of business – and our track record in forging partnerships with key organisations across all sectors is second to none’ said Professor David Wilson, deputy vice-chancellor and DMU.
‘This is an important new contract for De Montfort University and we’re delighted to have this opportunity of working with such a major player in the global restaurant market’ he added.
